Orthodontics

The objective of orthodontics is to align teeth with its support bone obtaining a good adjustment between the two arcades. This way chewing, oral hygiene and esthetics will be improved.

The ideal moment to start orthodontic treatment is at 11/12 years old, when all teeth have been replaced. It is also possible to do this treatment in adults, as long as they have a good oral health as well as a proper hygiene. Finally it can also be done before all teeth are replaced, in order to take advantage of the bone growth in children.

In addition to the traditional metallic brackets, in our clinic we have esthetic brackets which are white, are equally effective and are not as noticeable as the traditional ones. We also use the innovative system Invisalign or invisible orthodontics in which using transparent splints we can change the teeth position without the need of using brackets.
